The Production Supervisor possesses the qualifications and characteristics listed below:

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to roll up your sleeves when necessary
  • Able to operate resourcefully in dynamic environments
  • Organized, detail-oriented and proficient at follow-up
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to interact with team members and department heads with candor, tact, patience, and diplomacy
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience of prioritization and time management techniques
  • Be able to address problems through critical thinking
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience of good leadership practices

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or accredited leadership certification(s) preferred
  • 1-2 years of supervisor or leadership experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for enforcement of all company factory rules, policies, and all applicable safety requirements.
  • Address team member performance issues and apply the Klauer progressive discipline process consistently with the support of Human Resources.
  • Use metrics and root cause analysis to identify and establish improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor the production and shipping schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Use lean manufacturing tools to reduce setups, cycle times, scrap, and work in process inventory.
  • Review production schedules and process flows to objectively evaluate obstacles preventing product delivery including monitoring internal lead times.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
