About The Position

The Production Supervisor oversees swing shift production operators and technicians at a precision injection molding facility. The role plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and continuously improves production methods, processes, and working conditions while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The supervisor manages the swing shift production team and its daily activities, ensuring established procedures and policies are followed. The role provides technical support to keep machines running, addresses production issues, and coaches and trains employees. It is also responsible for production schedules, quality standards, yields, and selecting shift personnel. This is a temporary associate position managed directly through Bio-Rad’s approved agency provider.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field.
• Manufacturing production experience, preferably in a regulated environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management, demand flow technology, production processes, and related technologies.

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of injection molding.
• Relevant certifications or training.

Responsibilities

• Manage the swing shift production team and ensure established procedures and policies are followed.
• Schedule, assign, and manage the team’s daily activities.
• Manage production output to meet planned deliveries and priorities.
• Provide technical backup to help keep machines running throughout the shift.
• Troubleshoot production issues and escalate them as appropriate.
• Communicate about employee performance and provide coaching and training.
• Meet key metrics, including production schedules, quality standards, and production yields.
• Interview and select shift personnel.
• Implement policies and procedures and work to improve production methods, processes, and working conditions while maintaining safety and quality standards.
