About The Position

As a Production Supervisor at Trane Technologies, you will lead the team at the La Crosse, Wisconsin plant and coordinate the daily operation of a high-volume, lean manufacturing environment. You will focus on quality and cost-effectiveness, partner with department leads and supervisors, and help achieve team and plant goals. The role is onsite five days per week and is designated safety-sensitive.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict-management skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to be a supportive team member.
• Adaptability in managing competing demands and changing production priorities.
• Ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the team's overall performance, with a focus on safety, quality, cost, time, and output.
• Supervise materials usage to support a smooth production flow.
• Support plant programs and goals by identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with supervisors and leaders in Operations, Quality, HR, Finance, Materials, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
• Communicate goals and plant-wide initiatives regularly to the leadership team and employees.
• Support employee training and development and foster positive employee relations.
• Coach production associates, provide performance feedback, and conduct performance improvement conversations.
• Identify and address production problems, including issues affecting units per man hour, safety and 5S, TAKT attainment, cost, output quality, and safety compliance.
