About The Position

Serves as the primary resource for team members, maintaining and enhancing operations by coaching, instructing, and coordinating activities for team members in the specific area of responsibility to achieve desired line metrics. As assigned, trains new people in quality, safety, and environmental work instructions and provides feedback on their performance. This role is a working leader assigned to plating, polishing, assembly, coating, or other production areas, with approximately 75% of time spent on the factory floor. The position may involve contact with hazardous chemicals.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Minimum of 3 years of direct supervision/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Coaching, instructing, and coordinating activities for team members to achieve desired line metrics.
Training new people in quality, safety, and environmental work instructions and providing feedback on their performance.
Instructing and coordinating the activities and job assignments of team members in the area.
Implementing scheduling sequence for team members.
Maintaining time and production documentation.
Communicating among team members, including turnover meetings and on-going communication.
Coordinating the training and development for all team members (e.g., OJT, and other necessary training).
Monitoring and directing the performance of all operators to continually develop skills and safe work habits.
Providing input and participating in performance feedback to team members, including input and participation in the performance review process and talent audits.
Ensuring that all people follow established quality procedures for the company and area, including product quality and housekeeping.
Ensuring team participation and compliance with safety (safety rules, training, behavioral based safety observations) and environmental requirements.
Providing leadership with productivity initiatives – Lean/BCI for the area.
Participating in the selection and interviewing of new team members.
Assisting with special projects when needed.
Enforcing and reinforcing company policies and practices.
Responsible for all appropriate paperwork for the area.
Performing any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
