About The Position

Fisher Dynamics is seeking a Production Supervisor for their 2nd Shift at their Harper Woods, MI facility. The supervisor will lead a team of production employees and material handlers, ensuring production quotas and deadlines are met within a formal team structure. Requirements

High School Diploma required
Three + years of experience
Ability to Manage a group of employees in support of the production activities
Ability to maintain adherence to established procedures and guidelines
Strong knowledge of material flow processes and welding operations (MIG & Laser)
Intermediate Excel skills
Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills
Strong knowledge of material flow processes
Ability to model company appropriate behaviors and to set proper examples for subordinates.
Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 quality standards
Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees
Computer literacy skills include the ability to perform data entry and to operate visual ‘touch screen’ display panels
Math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks are required
Ability to identify welds and train employees in identification
Ability to work effectively with people

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in related field preferred or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

Manage a group of employees and oversee work activities and engage in various forms of communication and judgment
Monitor the production run to meet scheduling requirements
Maintain/monitor quality standards and expectations
Ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
Maintain 5S within plants
Assist with new hire production and quality training
Work with the team to improve process flow and reduce operating expenses
Reduce scrap through process improvements
Control inventory – train operators in Plex
Rotate shifts and buildings to assist in vacation coverage
Perform basic housekeeping to keep area clean and safe
Various other duties as required by the department
Ability to lead team in problem solving (8D, 5Why)
