This career opportunity is for an Evening Production Supervisor in Brandon, Manitoba. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Evening Production Supervisor is responsible for scheduling, organizing and supervising manpower, equipment, and materials. This position will primarily oversee the Welding and Material Processing Department and will provide additional support to other departments. The Evening Production Supervisor analyzes production challenges and implements countermeasures to improve departmental performance while maintaining focus on safety, quality, production requirements, efficiencies and timeliness. This position also ensures employees within the department are provided with proper training and that the collective bargaining agreement and Company policies are consistently applied.

Requirements

  • Five plus years of welding/fabrication experience, with at least 3 years’ experience as a supervisor or lead hand
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, time and priority management are necessary for success.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment; adapt to change and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is a requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a large sized office and / or manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • CWB experience preferred
  • Experience in a unionized environment is a strong asset.
