As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising day-to-day plant production operations. Help in setting up the equipment to run production. Ensure Good Production Practices are followed during Production activities for cannabis related products/projects. This includes but is not limited to organizing and assigning work to shop floor personnel, instructing, guiding, and assisting employees in the attainment of production and quality goals/standards, developing, and mentoring team members, and driving safety performance results that meet and/or exceed company goal and targets. The ideal candidate is energetic, collaborative, and forward- thinking. This position is based out of Stayner, Ontario for the afternoon shift (4:30pm-1:00am)

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Detail oriented with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, demonstrated through previous experience.
  • Must be flexible and capable of carrying multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and to work well as part of a team.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office/Sharepoint (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Experience with ERP systems – SAP is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in GPP production floor environment an asset
  • First aid training is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and supervising day-to-day plant production operations.
  • Setting up the equipment to run production.
  • Ensuring Good Production Practices are followed during Production activities for cannabis related products/projects.
  • Organizing and assigning work to shop floor personnel.
  • Instructing, guiding, and assisting employees in the attainment of production and quality goals/standards.
  • Developing and mentoring team members.
  • Driving safety performance results that meet and/or exceed company goal and targets.
  • Assessing labor needs and making necessary adjustments to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Ensuring that Production Operators are aware of and follow safety protocols and SOPs and document their training.
  • Scheduling and organizing staff to the appropriate to ensure team performs duties to meet production targets and expectations.
  • Ensuring timesheets for all employees are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing the documentation and KPI tracking of production room activities.
  • Understanding the operation of all production equipment and train Operators accordingly.
  • Ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment and report on maintenance requirements.
  • Overseeing assembly, disassembly, and cleaning of production equipment.
  • Performing and documenting all duties according to SOPs, Health Canada regulations and all other established safety standards and company policies.
  • Assisting with creating and/or revising SOPs.
  • Leading by example and responsible for work standards of the team.
  • Ensuring safety regulations are met in all areas of responsibility and that employees perform the assigned work in a safe manner.
  • Ensuring all functions and related documentation are completed accurately and in a timely fashion to meet production targets and regulatory requirements.
  • Working closely with the Department Management to develop departmental initiatives and strategies to increase efficiencies.
  • Reporting deviations and assisting in investigations (proposing solutions and resolving problems) concerning production issues.
  • Ensuring that completed work orders are closed in SAP and batch records are accurate.
  • If supervising in F&P, supervisor will be responsible for creating, populating and maintaining master casing work order tracker.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by department management.
