About The Position

The 3rd Shift Production Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the work activities and resources required for CNC machining and assembly of landing gear components. The supervisor assigns employees to stations or tasks, prepares work schedules, monitors employee performance and manufacturing processes, and ensures production schedules are met. The role leads critical machining operations supporting commercial and military aerospace programs, with responsibility for efficient use of production resources and adherence to quality, efficiency, safety, and customer schedule requirements.

Requirements

College degree or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of CNC machining production management experience.
At least 5 years of production management experience.
Efficient use of computer-based data-entry systems such as MS Office.
Must meet security screening requirements under ITAR directives.

Responsibilities

Use production resources efficiently to meet production targets.
Assign duties, clarify work expectations, communicate goals, and reinforce teamwork objectives through daily meetings with staff and crew.
Meet daily with staff to discuss production goals and help find solutions to manufacturing-process problems.
Approve employee timecards.
Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personnel issues.
Ensure production work is completed on time and in accordance with customer-agreed schedules.
Manage production resources to meet quality and efficiency standards.
Coordinate cross-training to maintain effective operations during staffing shortages.
Identify training gaps and coordinate necessary external training.
Document and maintain traceability in accordance with quality standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
Assess manufacturing-process quality and make appropriate corrections to activities or systems to meet targeted goals.
Train new employees to use machinery safely and follow safety procedures.
