The Front-Line Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating shift operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant production of quality products. This role provides direct leadership to production team members, driving performance, engagement, and operational excellence while supporting site, department, and business objectives. Maintain a strong floor presence, providing direction, communication, and real-time support to production personnel. Develop team members through training, coaching, performance feedback, and accountability, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Promote and model a culture of safety, quality, and compliance with all FDA, OSHA, Abbott, and site-specific policies and procedures. Manage personnel and production processes to ensure all quality, regulatory, and operational standards are consistently met. Monitor, analyze, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall line performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through effective problem-solving, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. Coordinate shift start-ups, changeovers, and daily operational activities to support seamless multi-shift production performance. Support achievement of team, department, and site goals through effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, and execution of assigned projects and action plans. Manage operating expenses within assigned areas, including labor and overtime costs, while maintaining productivity targets. Document and investigate route and non-routine manufacturing issues independently or in collaborate with subject matter experts to develop robust CAPA solutions. Generate exception/CAPA documentation such as non-conformance reports and investigation reports required at the site for routine and non-routine manufacturing issues. Follow established escalation and decision-making processes, making and communicating decisions appropriate to the scope of the role. Track, trend, and report operational results, highlighting accomplishments, improvement opportunities, and action plans to leadership. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with the ability to work alternate shifts, including nights, and serve as back-up coverage during planned vacations. You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
