About The Position

Double Good is a leading fundraising app and technology company that helps youth organizations raise funds by selling popcorn. The company is experiencing significant growth and is looking for a Production Supervisor for the second shift to join their Production team. This is an onsite role at their Burr Ridge facility, primarily working from 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The Supervisor will focus on implementing production plans, leading the daily operations team, ensuring safe and efficient production, and meeting production goals. This role involves end-to-end manufacturing responsibilities and collaboration with various departments including Safety, FSQA, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Shipping, and the People Team.

Requirements

  • Ideally 5+ years of experience at a production manufacturing site with a minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role and demonstrated success in leading & growing an operational team
  • Establishing and maintaining routines and process control to optimize floor performance
  • Enabling efficiency through standardization and simplification
  • Fluid with lean manufacturing practices
  • Strong analytical and computer skills
  • A fast paced, hyper growth environment
  • Identifying and solving problems with long term solutions
  • Proficient in Google Suite or Microsoft Office
  • Current authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • B.S in Operations Mgmt, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in growing high speed manufacturing
  • VFFS and Popcorn Manufacturing Experience
  • 6 sigma certification is beneficial
  • RedZone Application Experience

Responsibilities

  • Execute the production plan/schedule daily within the guidance of the business strategy, mission and values.
  • Coach and lead the hourly production team, supporting teammates to perform at their very best while meeting required production goals in a safe and quality-driven work environment.
  • Partner closely with the Operations Manager and CI Leader to implement the strategic roadmap for facility automation and process improvement projects.
  • Be the primary continuous improvement leader by delivering the operational excellence strategy through the use of standard tools including but not limited to 5-why, fishbone, short interval control, and DMAIC.
  • Fluency and understanding of food safety requirements to continuously improve production.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and CI teams to implement focused improvement projects across the production facility to increase capacity by increasing rate/decreasing waste.
  • Be the leader of change who will support the hourly team as they adapt to continuous change.
  • Improve the overall skill level of the hourly team with training and development.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company’s core values.
  • Grow the cooking, packaging and shipping teams as the company expands.
  • Perform all required administrative activities of plant operations.
  • At times cover off-shift needs to support peers/managers on off-shifts.
