About The Position

The 2nd shift supervisor is responsible for management function relating to manufacturing operations and material movements through the plant to service customer requirements. The supervisor integrates the functions of production control, workforce planning, materials transactions, supervision of the workforce and trouble-shooting production issues. The supervisor will drive performance in both manufacturing and 1st pass yield to satisfy customer demand. Daily report outs will be required between the 1st shift supervisors and the 2nd shift supervisor. Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.
  • Oversee the set-up and operation of assigned team/shift based on 1st shift input.
  • Make informed and intelligent decisions and improvise in the absence of instruction (lead a team independently after normal business hours have ended).
  • Ensure standard work, policies, and procedures are followed on 2nd shift.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to maintenance and determine the cause of performance gaps using collaborative data knowledge and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Document/report all production and quality requirements and any performance gaps.
  • Maintain inventory control and transactions across manufacturing.
  • Ensure team is punctual and productive.
  • Ensure your team is compliant with all organization safety and performance policies.
