About The Position

This role is for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor, working Monday through Thursday from 2:30 PM to 12:30 AM. The primary function is to lead the Manufacturing department in creating and maintaining a behavior-based safety culture, producing quality products, and maintaining and increasing plant efficiencies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or training experience
Strong written and oral communication.
Organization and attention to detail.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Time management.
Systems analysis.
Mathematical and deductive reasoning.
Critical thinking.

Nice To Haves

Packaging industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safety of associates and implementing safety procedures established throughout the plant.
Manage, Develop, and motivate direct reporting staff.
Monitor, measure, and report on production related process performance, general issues.
Ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff.
Utilize problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand.
Maintain and enforce housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
Make appropriate decisions involving quality, or scheduling while following the companies organizational structure.
Communicate with the plant superintendent any changes communicated from crews.
Enforce and discipline any associates breaking company policies (i.e. attendance, quality, safety, associate conduct).
Maintain and authorize employee time cards on a daily basis.
Conduct new employee evaluations at the end of each week within their first month of employment.
Responsible for the completion of RGAs.
Report and communicate order shortages.
Responsible for correctness of production and quality reporting.
