About The Position

ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company, is an industry leader in the manufacture of extruded treats and foods for the companion animal market. We are seeking a Production (Warehouse) Supervisor for the Kansas City, KS warehouse and production facility. This is a full-time exempt level position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) and 1 – 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership through change management, exhibits the 11 ADM leader skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to present material with energy and enthusiasm to motivate and influence people.
  • Computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • History of working safely and a reputation for promoting and getting involved in safety improvement efforts.
  • Related industry knowledge.

  • GFSI Training
  • ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility handling packaging, distribution, warehouse and delivery issues.
  • Ensures employees are completing assignments as required by ADM and that they have the necessary tools and supplies to complete all required tasks.
  • Works with quality technicians to help implement food safety / sanitation / quality programs to ensure that the facility is aligned with the law, regulatory requirements, and company programs along with continuously looking for improvements to the Quality programs.
  • Works to find new and more efficient ways to manufacture, ship and control costs to help add value to ADM and the shareholders.
  • Works with Plant Manager to ensure Safety training programs are being completed.
  • Monitors the workplace for improvements, safety and personnel concerns.
  • Respond to and follow up on customer complaints, while working alongside sales personnel on these issues.
  • Hold Toolbox meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Work closely with personnel dealing with scheduling, production and formulation issues.
  • Responsible for backing up Superintendent in helping make everyday decisions and signing off on paperwork.
  • Performs weekly Safety Operation Reports for the safety of the employees.
  • Participates in inventory reconciliations and in the monthly sanitation / quality / GMP audits.
  • Promotes Safety and Quality first, then production.
  • Responsibility to identify food safety and/or product integrity issues and to initiate and record actions for issues reported.
  • Responsibility to communicate and review any information deemed necessary, including but not limited to, food safety, product integrity, formulas, specifications and/or changes, with customers.
  • Authority to purchase necessary chemicals and lubricants.
  • Authority to communicate with suppliers, customers, contractors and organizations (including but not limited to regulatory and statutory organizations).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
