About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Production Supervisor for our metal fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing the production workforce while emphasizing efficiency, productivity, and timely shipment of orders. The Production Supervisor will analyze performance metrics and labor needs, ensuring optimal scheduling and minimal downtime to meet production targets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the metal fabrication or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of production metrics and labor management.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on motivating and managing a diverse
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance best practices in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • a degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a relevant field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure that output meets or exceeds company goals and customer requirements.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends, measure progress, and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Monitor workforce productivity and allocate resources effectively to enhance production flow.
  • Schedule shifts and manage labor resources to ensure optimal staffing levels based on production forecasts and operational needs.
  • Track employee hours, manage time-off requests, and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Foster a culture of safety while maintaining a strong focus on production.
  • Assist in implementing safety procedures and best practices, ensuring all team members are trained and compliant.
  • Investigate and address any safety incidents or discrepancies in production processes.
  • Monitor quality control processes to ensure finished products meet company standards and customer specifications.
  • Handle discrepancies or production issues promptly, working to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with the shipping and logistics teams to ensure orders are fulfilled and shipped on time.
  • Work closely with other departments to address any production delays that may impact shipping schedules.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline production processes and reduce downtime through effective problem-solving and innovation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to a culture of operational excellence.
