About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising activities of a production team and shift/department and will have multiple direct reports. The right individual will have 3+ years of experience leading & managing a team in a manufacturing environment, and will ensure that safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are achieved, while meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals. In addition, the individual in this role will be responsible for creating a culture based on integrity, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration that will enhance the department’s ability to attract, develop, and retail top talent. The Production Supervisor is responsible for all people leadership and management aspects of the department, including the interviewing and selection of talent and all components of performance management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience leading & managing a team in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• minimum 3 years’ experience working in a supervisory position.
• Strong Background in manufacturing
• Self-motivated with results-driven approach.
• Ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant field
• some knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Drive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.
• Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence
• Monitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions
• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment
• Create, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.
• Train and understand of all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it’s up to date and accurate
• Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement
• Accurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in timely manner.
• Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties.
