The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising activities of a production team and shift/department, managing multiple direct reports. This role ensures that safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are achieved, while also meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals. Additionally, the individual in this role will be responsible for creating a culture based on integrity, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration to enhance the department’s ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent. The Production Supervisor handles all people leadership and management aspects of the department, including interviewing, selection, and performance management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading & managing a team in a manufacturing environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years’ experience with a minimum 3 years’ experience working in a supervisory position.
  • Strong Background in manufacturing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required, with some knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Drive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.
  • Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence
  • Monitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions
  • Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment
  • Create, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.
  • Train and understand of all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it’s up to date and accurate
  • Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement
  • Accurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in timely manner.
  • Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties.
  • Self-motivated with results-driven approach.

  • Strong analytical skills
