Requirements

  • Two to four years of related experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises production line set-up, including testing and adjusting equipment before operation and ensuring on-schedule starts.
  • Oversees all production activities performed by employees, maintaining high visibility and accessibility throughout the shift.
  • Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
  • Monitors and reports daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime.
  • Reports equipment problems to the appropriate department and production manager.
  • Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards and implements corrective actions for deficiencies.
  • Forecasts staffing needs for peak demands, staffs the team accordingly, and trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines employees.
  • Resolves personnel issues and coordinates with the production manager on matters such as vacation approvals, timecard approval, overtime, hiring, and training.
  • Performs administrative tasks, prepares reports, and correspondence.
  • Assists the production manager with policy and procedure development and implementation, ensuring employee adherence.
  • Inspects equipment and facilities for proper sanitation and takes corrective action for deficiencies.
  • Resolves production-related issues with representatives from other departments.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems relevant to the work area.
  • Maintains safety programs and ensures all required safety training for employees is completed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

Benefits

  • Hourly range of $28.00-$30.00 per hour + $2 shift premium.
