About The Position

This role accelerates business value by working in producing and/or set-up high-end ice sculptures, ice molds and cocktail ice. The Production Operator Lead will monitor product quality and complete daily production and quality logs. Demonstrates our “True North” attributes: voice of the customer, respect for the individual, no nonsense communication and utilization of facts, servant leadership and has a continuous improvement mindset in every facet of leadership and daily interaction. Leads, collaborates and demonstrates the lean principles and utilizes the lean methodologies and tools to facilitate continuous process improvements and value creation for our customers, employees and shareholders. Actively utilizes lean tools (VSM, Kaizen, A3, etc.) to inform and assess business opportunities to drive continuous improvement. Lead and participate in Kaizen and value stream mapping activities.

Requirements

High School education or GED
Will be required to obtain a Southern Nevada Health District Card (Food Handler Card)
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Ability to quickly store and recall instructions in one’s short term memory
Ability to concentrate and perform tasks involving high levels of cognitive function and judgment
Ability to cope with sudden changes in surrounding and/or emergency situations and/or alarms
Demonstrate a caring, committed and concerned attitude about safety

Responsibilities

Monitor product quality and completion of daily production and quality logs
Production of large ice blocks use in the creation of sculptures and cocktail ice
Production of Ice molds for special orders or special events
Production of Cocktail ice with the aid of machine or manual presses/molds
Packaging of ice products for delivery
Responsible for the safe operation and sanitation of highspeed production equipment such as meat saw, band saw, CNC machine and cocktail ice machines/molds
May be required to assist in setting up ice sculptures for events
Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity
Cooperate and promote a team concept with all other company employees
Adhere to all rules and regulations, at all times
Meet or exceed company safety standards
Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.
