About The Position

Maco PKG is hiring an A-Shift Production Supervisor to take ownership of day-shift production operations in our Contract Packaging division. You’ll lead a team of production employees and work closely with maintenance, scheduling, quality, and operations to keep production moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This is a hands-on leadership role. You won’t be sitting in an office. You’ll be on the production floor, solving problems, holding people accountable, and making decisions that keep the operation on track.

Requirements

Prior supervisory or team lead experience in manufacturing or production
Strong communication skills with employees, maintenance, quality, and management
The ability to stay calm and solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment
Solid attendance history and a track record others can count on
Basic computer skills for tracking production data and reporting
Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when operations require it

Nice To Haves

Experience in packaging, food manufacturing, or other GMP / cGMP regulated environments
Mechanical aptitude or experience coordinating with a maintenance team
Experience working with ERP and HRIS systems
Forklift experience

Responsibilities

Monitor staffing, track productivity and downtime, keep production on schedule, and communicate clearly with management when issues arise.
Set expectations at the beginning of the day, respond to changing production needs, and ensure your team stays focused on safety, quality, and output throughout the shift.
Work with the maintenance team to prioritize repairs based on production impact, minimize downtime, and identify recurring issues that may require longer-term solutions.
Coach employees, address attendance and performance issues directly, provide feedback, and build a shift culture where accountability is the norm.
Enforce safety policies, GMP standards, and quality expectations while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Ensure employees follow procedures correctly, address issues before they impact production, and report accidents, concerns, or unsafe conditions immediately.
