About The Position

The Production Supervisor works at Abbott’s Sturgis, Michigan location in the Abbott Nutrition division. The role coordinates production team activities to deliver shift and line performance, develops team members through training, coaching, and feedback, and promotes a culture of safety, quality, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement. The supervisor monitors operational performance and key metrics, manages expenses including labor and overtime, leads tier meetings, provides daily production updates, communicates with cross-functional teams, and manages direct reports. The role is accountable for meeting FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of professional experience involving people leadership, operational execution, or quality/safety oversight in manufacturing, production, logistics, or a comparable structured environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing work environment.
• Experience utilizing project planning and execution tools.
• Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR and other regulatory requirements for infant formula.
