A Production Supervisor is commonly expected to know oversee one or more production lines and be responsible for all people and production requirements of your area of responsibility. Production Supervisors develop manpower requirements, identify problems in sufficient time for corrective action, and direct the performance and functional task elements of a highly trained and effective workforce. To be successful in this role you will: Directly supervise work of assigned personnel on assigned shifts and coach and support their growth and development to reach their maximum potential. Manage employee relations, housekeeping, production throughput, quality standards, safety, and training. Conduct pre-shift meetings to discuss plant safety, check for absentees, distribute job assignments and inform employees of changes or events within the company, and plant goals. Prepare for shift by reviewing production schedule and ensures all material supplies are adequate for shift operation. Prepare daily production reports; purchase requisitions; and work orders for maintenance. Comply with all requirements related to both the Oracle and Maximo systems. Conduct cycle counts. Conduct visual inspections of plant to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations to ensure 'Safe Operations with Zero Harm.’ Initiates preventative action to ensure all performance standards are met.
