About The Position

Warby Parker is looking for a data-driven, experienced production supervisor for their in-house optical manufacturing facility in Sloatsburg, NY. This role will be responsible for running the production for the BHD shift. Reporting into the Production Manager, the supervisor will lead a team of Production Associates in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience
  • At least 12 months of production experience in a leadership role
  • Experienced leading or managing a team or project
  • A team player who’s willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done (and done right!)
  • A super-strong work ethic
  • An effective communicator (in person, over email, via carrier pigeon—all of it)
  • Obsessively attentive to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to stand and/or walk for up to 8–10 hours and is able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise 15+ hourly employees in a specific manufacturing department
  • Support the team by delivering regular feedback, mentoring through one-on-ones and quarterly check-ins, and identifying development opportunities
  • Communicate all daily production goals and metrics with the team, maintaining accountability for throughput and performance while identifying new ways to streamline processes in the department
  • Ensure safety practices are being followed by team members (raising concerns to management when necessary) and conduct other job-specific trainings
  • Partner with the Production Manager to identify strengths and opportunities for each Associate’s continued success and development
  • Lead by example, continuously coaching and promoting accountability
  • Conduct trainings, coaching, and monitoring using functional knowledge of all lab positions
  • Direct Associates to lend support in other departments if needed
  • Drive production to meet and/or exceed specified goals
  • Maintain safety standards, monitor breakage, and give timely feedback
