This Production Supervisor position is specifically within the PRIME division, operating under the S&S Activewear parent company, and is crucial for delivering specialized solutions while aligning with the broader mission and values of S&S Activewear.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
  • Acts in accordance with all company policies.

  • Communicates necessary information to supervisors and employees.

  • Models appropriate attitudes and behavior, particularly a positive outlook.
  • High school diploma.
  • 3 years of being a Group Leader.
  • 5 years as a Machine Operator.
  • Computer literacy: Excel, Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and WMS.
  • Proficiency with company e-mail.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all production related activities, including supervision of employees within their respective area, readiness of machine and materials for production, monitoring quality and quantity of output, monitoring production schedules, and ensuring that all orders in their specific area ship as scheduled.
  • Communicate with appropriate personnel concerning shift changes and order status.
  • Ensure all personnel under their supervision are appropriately trained and cross-trained in position specific functions.
  • Review and verify that company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Take corrective action and administer disciplinary policies as necessary.
  • Provide training in Safety/Security, HR Policies (Harassment, Attendance and Vacation), Housekeeping, Tracking/Scanning of orders, and all other procedures & policies.
  • Monitor all packers’ and operators’ productivity and quality of work during processing.
  • Ensure that all employees within the work center(s) report their production accurately and timely.
  • Review and monitor all production reports to ensure that production and quality standards are being met.
  • Take appropriate actions, such as training, coaching or corrective actions, where standards are not met.
  • Ensure that all orders and the related materials are ready for processing as required by the production schedule, resulting in minimal machine downtime and maximum throughput.
  • Verify that materials are received from the warehouse in a timely manner and signed off by the Material Handler.
  • Ensure supplies (Inks, screens, plates, fixtures and other supplies) are received before scheduled start time.
  • Ensure that proper staffing levels are based on production needs (in conjunction with the Group Supervisor and Production Manager).
  • Monitor the daily production scheduled requirements by the beginning of the shift, including previous day, current day, and next day.
  • Pass the production report to the second shift Group Supervisor with notes to help plan the work center and to complete all orders on time to achieve on time delivery (if applicable).
  • Track orders by shipping method (Red, blue, 3 days etc.).
  • Track orders that have not been issued parts.
  • Track orders on hold.
  • Track orders that did not ship on time.
  • Manage the order lifecycle by communicating to the Production Manager all orders that cannot be completed on the ship date as soon as possible, but no later than 3:00pm.
  • Report orders that cannot be completed due to production issues to the Planner as quickly as possible.
  • Document all order problems.
  • Ensure proper documentation is required for orders where the ship date is not met.
  • Print the Large Order Report every Monday and Wednesday.
  • Ensure that proper shift change communication and documentation is completed and forwarded.
  • Ensure that all machines are set up and ready to go with the next order.
  • Ensure that employees are cross trained to run other equipment in their work center.
  • Complete employee reviews with the Production Manager based on company parameters.
  • Attend production meetings as required.
  • Know how to read and understand a purchase order, traveler and other company documentation as required.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
