About The Position
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of Yellawood brand Pressure Treated Pine, is seeking a Production Supervisor. This individual will be responsible for the distribution warehouse operations. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.)
- Basic understanding of 5S and Lean methodology.
Responsibilities
- Implementing and enforcing safety policies and personally demonstrating his/her commitment to safety and compliance.
- Collaborating with the sales manager on sales forecasts and placing purchase orders with vendors to maintain adequate product inventories.
- Working with the production manager to discuss and create development plans.
- Collaborates with shift supervisors to ensure distribution products are received, put away, picked, packed, and shipped in a way that positively promotes our brand.
- Works within the budget objectives set forth by the production manager to streamline operations.
- Establishes and oversees regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintains current and creates new innovative metrics to drive distribution operations performance.
- Incorporates Lean/5S methodology in the distribution area.
