About The Position

We are currently seeking a competent and experienced Manufacturing Production Supervisor to join our dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves demonstrating a safety-first mindset, leading and motivating shift employees, ensuring quality specifications are met, training the team on company procedures, and collaborating with HR for various personnel matters. The supervisor will also coordinate with peers, manage shifts to achieve production and scrap goals, and troubleshoot process, equipment, and material issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful production supervision experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have the willingness and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships with hourly employees, management, and peers.
  • Ability to function under pressure and to prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting deadlines.
  • This position requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing up and down stairs and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in a typical manufacturing environment with seasonal heat/cold and sound related to machine operation as well as maintenance and facility repair activities.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the task at hand.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a safety-first mindset in all situations. Promotes and trains on consistent and proactive safety, participates in audits for compliance, generates incident reports, and partners with EHS to investigate “close calls”.
  • Leads, assists, motivates, and evaluates shift employees in daily operations and problem resolution. Promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensures quality specifications are met and procedures are followed.
  • Trains the team in executing company procedures, focusing on safety, quality and meeting production goals.
  • Cross-functional teamwork with HR for payroll processing, management and documentation of performance and disciplinary matters and staffing.
  • Meets and coordinates with peers to share important issues at shift changeover.
  • Manages shift to attain production and scrap goals.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves process, equipment, and material issues in conjunction with maintenance and support personnel.
