About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations and production activities within a specific area of the manufacturing facility, ensuring production goals are met efficiently and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. This position supervises and coordinates the activities of shop-floor workers in a particular department, ensuring policies and procedures are followed to maintain effective operations (CNC Machining, Inspection, Assembly, Machine Operations, Shipping/Receiving and Die Cast).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment (5+ years)
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems
  • Successful experience providing work direction or acting in a lead or supervisory role
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Ability to adhere to company policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Good problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • A Degree in technical engineering, or relevant field
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Previous experience leading, setting up and assisting on machines

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production schedules, coordinate workflow, and ensure production goals are met, modifying work procedures and using knowledge of machine and equipment capacities to adjust.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
  • Responsible for training new and existing employees.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Confer with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Set up machines and equipment.
