About The Position

Manchester Tank is seeking a Production Supervisor in Quincy. This role involves championing the McWane Way values and principles, formulating and maintaining production objectives, and coordinating with procedures to maximize production reliability, repeatability, and efficiency. The supervisor will direct team members in production activities to ensure continuous production of conforming products in the most efficient and safe manner possible. Responsibilities also include interviewing and training team members, managing team members in planning, decision-making, facilitating, and process improvement, and ensuring adherence to all policies, safety policies, and procedures. The role requires appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and overseeing team time and attendance. The supervisor will also look for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes, and overall improvement efforts, while strictly following all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures, including reading and understanding Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions, and reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Champion McWane Way values and principles and drive the same through production team members.
Formulate and maintain production objectives and coordinate objectives with procedures to maximize production reliability, repeatability, and efficiency.
Direct team members engaged in production activities to ensure the continuous production of conforming products in the most efficient and safe manner possible.
Interview and train team members.
Manage team members in planning, decision-making, facilitating, and process improvement; make oneself available to management and support staff.
Follow, observe, coach, and enforce all policies, safety policies, and procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
Appraise performance; reward and discipline team members, address complaints, and resolve problems.
Oversee team's time and attendance.
Look for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes, and overall improvement efforts.
Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to a member of management.
Shut down process if unsafe.
Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.
Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
