About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that procedures are followed to achieve high productivity cost-effectively while meeting customer specifications and completing reporting requirements for the supervised area. The role trains and supports employees, plans departmental resources, manages performance, promotes communication and safety, and works with other departments to identify operational improvements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of previous supervisory experience.
• Previous leadership experience with 20 or more employees.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work assigned hours and days, including occasional weekends, as required.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Poultry or food industry experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• College degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Train employees and provide an environment that supports their quality and productivity performance.
• Plan and schedule manpower, materials, products, and machines to use departmental resources effectively and efficiently.
• Apply departmental policies and procedures fairly and equitably, maintaining established standards for safety, quality, and employee satisfaction.
• Manage employee performance and provide positive or corrective feedback.
• Promote department and company goodwill through proactive employee communication and involvement.
• Work with other departments to investigate quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance opportunities, and provide suggestions.
• Promote safety throughout the crew’s work area.
• Ensure all reporting requirements are met for the supervised area.
• Ensure procedures are followed to meet productivity, cost-efficiency, and customer-specification goals.
