About The Position

The Production Supervisor will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production schedules are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a dynamic leader who can effectively manage production teams, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure strict compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aerospace or automotive manufacturing, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School graduate Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • 10 years minimum experience in a Supervisory / Management capacity, in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with ERP system is required
  • Must be "U.S. persons" within the meaning of ITAR, as defined: a U.S. Citizen, a lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college is preferred
  • Electrical diagrams a plus
  • Familiarity with military/defense or aerospace industry is a plus
  • SAP preferred
  • Experience working with process improvement, Lean and 5S practices is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities for Assembly and Testing, ensuring optimal workflow and resource utilization
  • Oversee a team of 20-30 production personnel, including welders, assemblers, and quality inspectors
  • Manage employees related matters, including attendance, discipline and performance reviews activities
  • Material movement coordination between inventory, receiving, production control and inspection as necessary
  • Provide production scheduling and workload assignment support activities
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams as necessary and applicable to support production programs
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities to meet customer delivery requirements and maintain on-time delivery metrics
  • Conduct production meetings to communicate priorities, address concerns, and align team objectives
  • Manage production capacity planning and coordinate with planning department to optimize manufacturing schedules
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, efficiency, scrap rates, and on-time delivery
  • Implement 5S and lean techniques to maintain an organized and clean workspace
