About The Position

Reports to the Production Manager and serves as a key member of the Manufacturing department. The Production supervisor is responsible for the supervision of various production teams. Responsibilities include the safe operation of manufacturing departments, maintaining company policies and meeting or exceeding production, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing or production experience
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or team leader experience
  • Knowledge of electronics assembly or component manufacturing
  • Ability to lead and manage production workers
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of quality control and safety procedures
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, production software, ERP systems)
  • Ability to meet production goals and deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • College degree
  • Training and experience in TQM, 5S, Lean or Six Sigma
  • Experience in electronics
  • Tier 1 & 2 automotive component manufacturing or similar fields
  • Familiar with ISO quality systems and standards

Responsibilities

  • Train/mentor/manage associates to optimize department performance
  • Responsible for quality of output & productivity of departments
  • Oversee safety, cleanliness and organization of departments
  • Coordinate production schedule to improve product throughput to meet or exceed goals
  • Conduct meetings & effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Effectively communicate on a “technical” level with associates of various engineering disciplines
  • Associate relations: including interviewing, hiring and counseling as necessary
  • Conduct performance reviews/evaluations
  • The ability to work as a team leader (champion) to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.
  • The ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Follow ACTIA’s quality manual, processes, work instructions and employee handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Supervise daily production activities

  • Monitor production schedules and output
