About The Position

This role is responsible for planning and scheduling personnel, providing production expectations and quality feedback, monitoring daily production requirements, training and monitoring employee performance, compiling KPI data, and ensuring job training and daily job rotations are in place. The position also ensures compliance with the UAW contract, team member handbook, safety guidelines, and all relevant rules, programs, and procedures. The Supervisor Production monitors product quality, participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives, and reviews processes and people daily to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work).
Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting.
Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring HSE and 5S policies and standards are followed.
Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.
Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced.
Ensure compliance of the UAW contract, team member handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to production team members.
Monitor quality of product throughout the production process.
Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.
Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.
