About The Position

As a Production Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of our designated groups. Your responsibilities will include setting targets, implementing plans, and tracking results to drive continuous improvement. You'll also lead your team in problem-solving initiatives and facilitate workshops to enhance quality improvement methods. Your role extends beyond performance management – you'll also be responsible for handling personnel issues, ensuring proper team management, and fostering individual development within your team. Safety is paramount, and you'll work diligently to maintain compliance with Group Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards, intervening when necessary to mitigate risks and improve working conditions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of production experience, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to train and coach within the plant.
  • Continuous improvement mind set
  • Ability to master change
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Fluent English language knowledge – written and spoken

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure QCD indicators reflect customer expectations
  • Define, together with the supervisors of the other shifts and the UAP manager, QCDP targets for the GAPs
  • Monitor performance during the shift and manage resources to reach results
  • React in case of a problem and replace GAP leader when necessary
  • Ensure transparent timely communication with UAP manager and internal customers
  • Submit/implement at least two Continuous Improvement Ideas per month
  • Responsible for the quality of the product and responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental
  • Drive actions for improvement as knowing team problems, defining areas for performance improvements, ensure audits of standardized work are conducted by GAP leaders
  • Aims to devote 70% of his/her time to improvement actions, improvement ideas generation and implementation
  • Participate in division level workshops to test the new lean concept or advanced tools
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics
  • Assure daily: permanent presence on the Shop floor, manage HC, coach GAP Leaders and team members, ensure discipline and the respect of safety instructions, policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper induction of new operators on the line
  • Build training plan to increase team autonomy and plan development of the people
  • Manage annual performance interviews, validate of polyvalence and poly-competence and ensure recognition.
  • Ensure proper flow of information to and from the team
