Responsible for management of all operational and scheduling functions of the plant on assigned shift. Employee is responsible for safety and food safety / quality. Maintain the plant’s safety standard by participating in monthly meetings, working with the Safety Committee and management to ensure hazards are corrected and investigating accidents. Maintain the plant’s quality and sanitation standards by administering PQC’s to achieve manufacturing excellence, participating in monthly meetings and coordinating with the QC department on product issues. Maintain production efficiencies on shift with effective use of all shift resources (labor, materials, and other management personnel) to achieve or exceed Plant’s production plan. Manage shift operations to ensure material usage is within plant standard. Coordinate changeovers, emergency repairs and non-routine maintenance to ensure continuous product flow. Provide input on development/modification of existing or new equipment. Development of cost efficient environment through an active involvement in plant’s cost reduction programs.
