About The Position

Responsible for supervising production department which includes; processes, equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping in order to meet production quality and quantity standards on each shift.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline.
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate proficiently both orally and in writing using the English language
  • Specific know-how: Lean methodologies, concepts, practices and procedures understanding.
  • Competencies include: result orientation, taking initiative, intercultural behavior, developing others, effective communication, managing performance, organizing and planning
  • Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the activities of production employees, including but not limited to hiring, motivating, training and performance management.
  • Monitors production levels and reports promptly to managers, production planning and maintenance when delays occur. Estimate time of delay when production will resume.
  • Ensures that established policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed in all areas of production.
  • Maintains the established schedule by coordinating movement of parts through production process working with supply chain to set weekly capacity based on equipment availability, manpower and raw materials.
