About The Position

Overseeing the daily operations of the plant, including planning, organizing, staffing and regulating the production operations of the plant and assisting the Shift manager and other department managers and supervisors. This role involves managing production staff, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and contributing to the development of new food products. The Production Supervisor is responsible for achieving production targets, resolving operational issues, and fostering a motivated and high-performing team.

Ensuring manufacturing and processing staff wear appropriate sanitary and protective gear
Completing production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel

Monitoring progress
Revising schedules
Monitoring every aspect of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards
Scheduling of personnel for optimal efficiency
Scheduling within the allocated amount of personnel for each PC running
Assisting with development of new food products
Allotting work tasks to every lead on all lines
Setting production objectives
Implementing action plans for achieving set targets
Preparing periodic reports to update upper management on food production activities
Creating work shifts to ensure round-the-clock food production operations
Identifying customer requirements and adjusting to meet such needs
Undertaking continuous training and development of employees
Performing root cause analysis and resolving problems
Recruiting new operators and leads for lines
Reporting any issues to shift manager that will keep us from achieving daily planned pounds
Working with scheduling to ensure production is running as scheduled
Coming up with solutions when production is falling behind schedule
Setting department objectives/KPI’s
Reviewing/assessing ongoing performance of direct reports
Conducting daily production meetings with leads
Reporting on achievement of targets
Identifying any actions required
Consistently promoting high standards through personal example and roll out through the team
Supervising and leading the team
Ensuring adequate staffing levels and accountability
Motivating and coaching the team to operational success
Monitoring the completion of tasks
Ensuring good performance
Reviewing, implementing and updating company records (e.g., training metrics, performance reviews, risk assessments)
Communicating KPIs and annual plan so each employee is aware
Working with the management team to share ideas and improve operation
Recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements
Optimizing results and improving quality in line with quality standards and customer requirements
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance

Responsibilities

Oversee and implement that all employees are working within our safety guidelines for all employees inside our facility
Oversee the hiring and training food production personnel
Ensure manufacturing and processing staff wear appropriate sanitary and protective gear to ensure health and safety
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules
Monitor every aspect of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards
Scheduling of personnel for optimal efficiency/ Scheduling within the allocated amount of personnel for each PC running
Assist with development of new food products to boost sales and increase generated returns
Allot work tasks to every lead on all lines
Set production objectives and implement action plans for achieving set targets
