About The Position

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities, ensuring departments operate at maximum efficiency. This role involves supervising schedules, priorities, productivity, quality, safety, and KPIs. The Production Supervisor will ensure timely and accurate food production, including setup, staging, changeovers, allergen controls, and sanitation. Key responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and coaching, training, and developing team members. The role also involves managing staffing activities, coordinating with other departments, and reinforcing processes, systems, and standards. The Production Supervisor will also handle conflict management, delegate work, respond to unplanned downtime, ensure equipment is properly handled and maintained, and support operational improvement projects.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in fast-paced manufacturing or food production (chilled food preferred)
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to lead under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends
  • Intermediate computer skills (Email, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work in cold, damp environments and remain physically active throughout shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Education in culinary arts, food safety, or management preferred
  • HACCP, ServSafe, or CCP certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production departments operate at maximum efficiency
  • Supervise daily production activities including schedules, priorities, productivity, quality, safety, and KPIs
  • Ensure timely and accurate food production including setup, staging, changeovers, allergen controls, and sanitation
  • Monitor KPIs, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Coach, train, and develop team members while removing operational barriers
  • Manage staffing activities including hiring support, scheduling, assignments, performance reviews, and time approvals
  • Coordinate with other departments and manage team communication
  • Coach and discipline employees as needed
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and development to employees
  • Build accountability, trust, and respect across teams
  • Reinforce processes, systems, and standards
  • Manage conflict and delegate work to team leads
  • Respond to unplanned downtime and restore safe operations
  • Ensure equipment is properly handled and maintained
  • Ensure materials and equipment availability for production schedules
