About The Position

The Production Supervisor – 1st Shift is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations while promoting a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork. This position supervises production employees, coordinates workflow, and ensures production goals are achieved efficiently and safely. As a key member of the manufacturing leadership team, the Production Supervisor provides hands-on leadership within a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills while serving as a liaison between employees and management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, quality standards, and workplace safety.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Ability to work in a drug-free workplace and pass required screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Conversational Spanish.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production employees to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Plan and coordinate staffing, work assignments, and production schedules.
  • Monitor production processes and address issues impacting quality, efficiency, or delivery.
  • Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees on work procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Address employee concerns, performance issues, and workplace conflicts.
  • Inspect materials, equipment, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available to support production requirements.
  • Complete performance reviews, disciplinary documentation, attendance tracking, timecard approvals, and other supervisory responsibilities.
  • Maintain production, labor, and operational records and prepare reports as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
