Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in related field preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years’ supervisory experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop staff members and build a strong team
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; multi-task; meet tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills to include MS Office products (especially Excel and Word)
• Familiar with AS400, Shop Floor Plus or other production systems
• Experience with lean continuous improvement tools and methodology
• Ability to use general arithmetic
• Strong interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail
• Proficient at Problem Solving Techniques (5-why, 8D, A3)

Responsibilities

• Supervising daily operations of the production floor; ensuring established safety, quality and production requirements are met.
• Monitoring daily productivity and work quality output, define resource needs and staffing parameters to meet business goals.
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory movement.
• Monitoring staff productivity, efficiency, and job performance.
• Supervision of team members – training, auditing, evaluations, performance discussions, disciplinary actions, career development, employee engagement and morale
• Mentoring and developing current and potential production leadership
• Executing weekly production schedule continuously improving productivity and efficiency by managing KPIs
• Assuring company policies and procedures are followed to maintain a productive and safe work environment
• Determining staffing needs and adjusting accordingly to meet production requirements
• Coordinating and directing the activities of the production floor to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Managing, reviewing, and approving employee timesheets including vacation requests
• Inspecting product to verify product standards and specifications are met
• Coordinating material needs and production schedule with appropriate parties
• Ensuring job-related accidents or injuries are reported and documented timely and take corrective action in an expedient manner.
• Recommending equipment upgrades and process modifications.
• Participating in continuous improvement projects to reduce material and labor costs
• Performing daily safety GEMBA
• Accountable for all aspects of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 compliance
• Participating in annual physical inventory
