About The Position

The Production Slag Supervisor oversees the entire slag production process in a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of workers responsible for collecting, processing, and handling slag while adhering to safety regulations and optimizing production output. Amrize Slag Plant is onsite the Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Plant in East Chicago, Indiana.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent or 3 years of equivalent experience
• 1-3 years Required
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring slag production processes to ensure consistent quality and compliance with specifications.
• Adjusting production schedules and optimizing workflow to meet daily targets and deadlines.
• Identifying and addressing production bottlenecks or issues to minimize downtime.
• Overseeing the collection, transportation, and storage of slag materials.
