Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3–7+ years of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience.
- Ability to work rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology and / or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) Experience
Responsibilities
- Enforce compliance with Safety Operating System practices to include, but not limited to: Combustion Safety; Energy Lockout; Pedestrian and Vehicle Safety; Working at Heights; Pre-Task Analysis (PTA); and licensing and safety training requirements
- Identify and insure that safety hazards and unsafe practices are promptly corrected
- Drive Continuous Improvement in order to reduce scrap
- Conduct and coordinate daily audits to ensure process discipline
- Maintain lab equipment in a state of compliance with specifications, fit, form, and contamination standards
- Ensure the compliance with all relevant corporate and departmental KPIs and management requirements
- Present quality data during daily "stand-up" meetings or shift handovers
- Minimize overtime by controlling absenteeism, preparing for and fully utilizing down time; optimizing use of labor throughout the day
- Lead a team of hourly quality control operators
- Onboard new operators on quality standards and specific defect-recognition techniques.
- Build Team Leaders’ and Team Members’ capabilities
- Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks; build and foster a team environment between Quality and Production
- Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
- Maintain a versatility matrix that ensures technical coverage at all times
- Participate in Time & Data Management meetings as prescribed by Ford Production System (FPS)
- Maintain 5S and other housekeeping items in all QA labs
- Perform other related duties as required
