Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3–7+ years of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology and / or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)

Responsibilities

  • Enforce compliance with Safety Operating System practices to include, but not limited to: Combustion Safety; Energy Lockout; Pedestrian and Vehicle Safety; Working at Heights; Pre-Task Analysis (PTA); and licensing and safety training requirements
  • Identify and insure that safety hazards and unsafe practices are promptly corrected
  • Drive Continuous Improvement in order to reduce scrap
  • Conduct and coordinate daily audits to ensure process discipline
  • Maintain lab equipment in a state of compliance with specifications, fit, form, and contamination standards
  • Ensure the compliance with all relevant corporate and departmental KPIs and management requirements
  • Present quality data during daily "stand-up" meetings or shift handovers
  • Minimize overtime by controlling absenteeism, preparing for and fully utilizing down time; optimizing use of labor throughout the day
  • Lead a team of hourly quality control operators
  • Onboard new operators on quality standards and specific defect-recognition techniques.
  • Build Team Leaders’ and Team Members’ capabilities
  • Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks; build and foster a team environment between Quality and Production
  • Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
  • Maintain a versatility matrix that ensures technical coverage at all times
  • Participate in Time & Data Management meetings as prescribed by Ford Production System (FPS)
  • Maintain 5S and other housekeeping items in all QA labs
  • Perform other related duties as required
