About The Position

This role involves direct supervision of assigned line production staff within the Pack Out department. The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest level of product quality, managing employee time sheets and paperwork, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and effective communication with team members, management, and USDA officials.

Requirements

1-3 years leadership experience
Ability to multi-task & set priorities

Must demonstrate successful supervisory skills, writing skills, creative & effective problem-solving skills, & basic knowledge of computers & related software

Responsibilities

Direct supervision for assigned line production staff
Verify daily & weekly payroll time sheets for all team members in the department as assigned
Responsible for daily & weekly UKG employee status and paperwork such as but not limited to: attendance, vacation request, disciplinary actions, yield & product reporting
Be familiar with the various types of machinery & processes in the assigned department
Ensure that all product produced is of the highest level & standard of quality
Physically inspect products for both natural occurring & processing defects
Effectively communicate with team members, fellow supervisors, managers, & USDA
Proactively seek the opportunity to help fellow team members, as well as opportunities to improve processes
Know & Comply with all written corporate safety & plant policies
Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene & cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies
Follow the written specification for packaging & labeling of products
Identify & report any suspicious situations to immediate supervisor or plant management official
Perform other duties as assigned
