About The Position

The Production Supervisor I plans, organizes, supervises, and coordinates the work to meet company and customer goals with quality and efficiency. Manage and lead direct reporting employees. Sunday - Thursday 10:00PM to 7:00AM. Training will be required on 1st shift: Monday - Friday 6AM to 3PM for 4 to 6 weeks.

Requirements

Two to three years progressively more responsible experience
In addition to the knowledge normally acquired through a general high school education, the job requires a specialized skill or knowledge which may be obtained in high school or during a very brief period of intensive preparation outside of school
Strong attention to detail
Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

Responsibilities

Plans and organizes work to meet daily production and shipping requirements.
Maintains inventory of required raw materials and ensures that materials are ordered in a timely manner.
Monitors quality of products to verify conformance to specifications.
Controlling and assuring the quality of outgoing material.
With the support of the production manager and/or supervisor II, trains new employees in job requirements and existing employees on new techniques.
Assist in interpreting company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
Assist in interpreting specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties.
Assist in creating and modifying manufacturing instructions.
Assist in implementing and maintaining shop floor practices such as lean manufacturing by utilizing teams.
Handle internal and external questions in a prompt, professional manner, including order status and contract review.
Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
