Headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN, WaterFurnace designs and manufactures ultra-efficient, renewable-energy comfort products that provide heating, cooling and potable hot water solutions for use in both homes and commercial buildings. We employ more than 345 people in R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales roles across the US and Canada. For almost four decades, our Geothermal Heat Pumps, Water Source Heat Pumps, and Heat Recovery Chillers have been reducing energy usage consumption and increasing comfort in buildings around the world. Requirements

  • Excellent communicator
  • Epicor or other ERP experience
  • Team player that actively participates in a continuous improvement environment with coworkers and inter departmental peers/managers.
  • Mechanical ability with aptitude to learn HVAC components and systems.
  • Familiar with ISO 9000 and ISO 14001, which is used to perform job duties
  • Has knowledge of lean concepts including root cause analyses
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Strong Excel and Office 365 skills
  • 3 years of experience in a supervisor role in a manufacturing position
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing experience required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed to ensure maximum protection is implemented for employees and equipment.
  • Provide leadership and direction to 30 employees under their direct responsibility by training, mentoring, guiding, managing employee performance, disciplining and recourse planning.
  • Meet weekly production requirements. Work with Engineering, Planning, and Scheduling to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations, as well as ensuring PPE requirements are followed and ensuring all incidents are immediately reported and properly handled.
  • Meet quality goals and standards along with developing 5S standards in their areas.
  • Work through design and quality issues on a daily basis and anticipate issues far ahead of production line.
  • Embrace lean manufacturing techniques and work closely to implement such changes on a timely basis.
