About The Position

Directly supervise, and coordinate activities and performance of personnel engaged in the production of our products and/or in material movement into, in and out of the facility. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with two to three years of manufacturing experience and/or supervisor management experience.
  • Display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications, including: spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), word processing (e.g. Word), presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint), databases (e. g., Access, contact management software), internet/intranet (e.g., browsers, search engines), special applications (e.g., general ledger for accounting/finance; HRIS for human resources, etc.), and e-mail; can diagnose and correct minor issues with hardware and software or create instructional materials as needed.
  • Applicable compliance training may be assigned, such as First Aid & CPR and 10 hour OSHA Compliance Course

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, employee selection, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Determine production requirements to evaluate and achieve current production estimates and outputs are met.
  • Coordinate operations and activities within and between departments.
  • Create, evaluate and update standardized best practices to meet production goals.
  • Confirm inspection of materials, products or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Investigate abnormalities, determine cause and action required and implement as necessary.
  • Report or confirm production, and non-conforming product accurately as required.
  • Encourage employee involvement in process, working environment, safety and quality improvement ideas.
  • Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
