About The Position

The Production Sub-Assembler is responsible for testing components and building component assemblies required for the production of diesel generator units. Work involves the ability to follow directions and work with limited supervision.

Requirements

• Technical skills, mechanical skills and product knowledge helpful.
• Ability to write and present information clearly to co-workers.
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
• Must be able to read, write and understand assembly instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Receive work orders for the job and plan details of working procedure and tools required.
• Assemble and test components for diesel generator sets per the bill of materials and work instructions.
• Perform quality checks for mistakes or faulty components in the assembly process.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Supplies own tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
