About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Production Student Assistant will assist staff with coordination, scheduling and production of television studio and field productions. This role involves developing original programming concepts within budget and on schedule, handling internal and external communications, scheduling production staff, equipment, and facilities, providing location and field production support, PR for television programming and shows, performing office tasks, highlighting production-crew and student-volunteer positions, providing editing-project support, interacting with community & university groups on local productions, and managing scheduling and playback for the University Television Channel. Assistance with equipment check-out for production staff and other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work
  • Ability to follow oral instructions
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels
  • Ability to read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
