This is a part-time Production Stage Manager/Grip position within the Production Department. The role is responsible for stage managing daily newscasts and other original productions, including Special Events, Creative Services, Sales, and Client productions. The individual will oversee the run of show on stage during telecasts, managing production cues, set changes, prop placement, and talent positions. This includes handling all staging logistics on and off camera, working with the crew to set up staging areas before live broadcasts, and reviewing Facilities Sheets to confirm staging requirements with producers. The role involves daily meetings with producers and directors to verify staging needs, identifying production elements, and communicating directly with Control Room producers and directors to update studio crew in real time. The Stage Manager will organize and supervise set changes, ensure the News production studio is prepped for live broadcasts and breaking news, and maintain production staging areas. Additionally, the position contributes to studio support operations, including maintaining a safe workspace, managing storage systems, inventory, set maintenance, props, lighting, fire aisles, and reporting trip hazards. Collaboration with the Lighting team to maintain stage marks is also a key responsibility.
