About The Position

Mission Linen Supply is hiring Production Staff to perform industrial laundry production flow activities under the direction of the operating plant’s Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager. This role suits someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, remain on their feet, and lift throughout the shift. Experience with plant equipment or machinery is highly desired but not required.

The position is with a family-owned, privately held provider of linen, uniform, and facility service products serving five western states. The company describes its industry as essential and recession-resistant, with ongoing career advancement opportunities. Starting pay is $16.80 per hour; actual starting pay is based on education, experience, other qualifications, and assignment location.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift and/or move up to 25–50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
• Comfort working in wet and/or humid conditions and a usually loud environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with plant equipment or machinery is highly desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate press equipment.
• Process laundry in plant-established lot order.
• Maintain production floor distribution.
• Shake, sort by route, and sequence by route while laying out items prior to pressing.
• Classify and lay out items for pressing, such as industrial shirts versus executive dress shirts.
• Separate soil pick-up tickets.
• Check items for needed repairs.
• Lift garments and/or linen onto the line storage system.
• Trolley garments and/or linen for truck pick-up.
• Load trollies into trailers.
• Ensure colleagues practice safety procedures at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
