About The Position

Zingerman's Coffee Company is seeking a full-time Production Staff member to join their team. This role involves producing coffee products for customers in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities include producing various products in different package sizes, ensuring product appearance and proper shipping, accurately filling orders by pulling inventory, and working with a sense of urgency. The position also involves delivering products to other Zingerman's businesses and local customers, potentially driving a delivery van, and representing the company professionally while driving. You will operate automated equipment, UPS shipping terminals, weigh and fill equipment, grinders, and parts of the roaster. Maintaining a clean workplace, producing large quantities of cold brew, and receiving orders are also key duties. The work environment is a warehouse that can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, with close proximity to heavy/loud equipment. Staff spend a lot of time on their feet.

Requirements

Full Time employment (32-40 hours per week).
Must be organized and accurate.
Must have an urgency mindset.
Basic math skills for recipes, blending, and weight conversions.
Efficient and neat (tidy).
Valid driver's license and exemplary driving record.
Ability to think about processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Ability to work within given time constraints.
Ability to work occasional long shifts during peak periods (November and December) and occasionally throughout the year.
Ability to learn and get certified to use the forklift.
Detailed oriented.
Reliable and dependable.
Able to manage energy in the midst of chaos.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team.
Solid communication skills.
Quick learner, able to both ask questions and take direction.
Able to think outside of the box, share knowledge with staff, and be a good problem solver.
Enthusiastic and possess positive energy.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely, and up to 150 pounds.
Comfortable standing, lifting, and bending for the duration of shift.
Able to drive two or more hours at a time.

Nice To Haves

Preference will be given to candidates that can start as soon as possible.
Comfortable driving a fairly large delivery van.

Responsibilities

Producing the product that ends up in customers' hands in a fast-paced environment.
Producing numerous products in a range of package sizes and labels.
Ensuring product appearance and proper shipping.
Accurately filling orders by pulling inventory.
Working with a sense of urgency.
Repetitive lifting of coffee (from 10 ounce bags to 150 pounds delivery totes).
Delivering to other Zingerman's businesses and local customers.
Driving a delivery van and representing the company professionally while driving.
Working with and learning to use automated equipment, UPS shipping terminal, weigh and fill equipment, grinders, and parts of the roaster.
Maintaining a clean workplace/warehouse.
Producing large quantities of cold brew.
Receiving orders.
